WELCOME TO
KENTUCKIANA COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES
ABOUT US
At Kentuckiana Community Based Services, we are committed to transforming the mental health landscape—especially for those historically underserved. Addressing mental health challenges is a national priority, but for African Americans and other marginalized groups, the barriers are often higher and more deeply rooted in systemic inequality.
In many low- and middle-income communities, individuals living with mental illness face ongoing threats to their human rights. These include limited access to care, discriminatory treatment, and insufficient support for clinical and functional recovery. Beyond these tangible obstacles, stigma remains a powerful force—one that suppresses self-worth, restricts social inclusion, and undermines full participation in society.

Our mission is to dismantle these barriers by providing compassionate, culturally competent, and community-focused mental health services. We believe that every person—regardless of background—deserves access to healing, empowerment, and opportunity.

Together, we are building pathways to wellness, resilience, and dignity for all.

KCBS OUTPATIENT THERAPY
Supporting Youth, Empowering Families

At Kentuckiana Community Based Services (KCBS), our Outpatient Program provides compassionate, evidence-based care to children and adolescents ages 6 to 18. Our licensed therapists and practitioners offer comprehensive mental health support tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Our therapeutic services are designed to help youth and families:

-
Navigate school, peer, and community challenge

Whether through one-on-one sessions, family counseling, or structured group therapy, our goal is to empower each young person and their support system with tools for lasting change.
Therapy that Builds Stronger Connections
All our therapeutic approaches emphasize connection, education, and skill-building — encouraging youth to respond to stress in healthier ways and communicate more effectively with family members, peers, and community members.
